Trump warns Iran again to open Strait of Hormuz
President Donald Trump stated on Monday that the United States is in talks with "a more reasonable regime" about 'ending the war' in 'Iran. He also repeated his warnings to Tehran, saying it must open the Strait of Hormuz to avoid U.S. attacks on its power plants and oil wells.
Trump said in a post on social media that "great progress had been made" but that if a deal was not reached soon, which is likely to happen, and the Hormuz Strait wasn't immediately "Open for Business," we would end our'stay' with Iran by destroying all their Electric Generating Plants (EGPs),?Oil Wells, and Kharg Island.
Trump has also threatened to attack desalination facilities that provide clean water to Iran.
Last week, the U.S. President said he would pause his attacks on Iran's power plants for 10 day. This would mean that he would halt them until April 6, U.S. Time.
Trump said that the U.S. and?Iran were making progress in negotiations, but he also sent more U.S. troops to the region. This led Iran's parliament speaker to accuse Washington sending signals about possible negotiation while planning a ground invasion. This prompted more defiance from Tehran.
Iranian leaders have denied direct talks between the U.S. and Iranian leaders.
