Italy's Tenaris beats estimates for fourth-quarter sales on North America demand

February 19, 2026

Tenaris, an Italian steel pipe manufacturer, reported a 5% increase in net sales for the fourth quarter late on Wednesday, surpassing analysts' expectations, thanks to strong demand in North America.

The net sales of the quarter ending December 31 increased from $2.84 to $3 billion, largely due to a 29% increase in North America tube sales that helped offset declining revenue in South America and Europe.

Analysts had expected the Luxembourg-headquartered company to ?report sales of $2.96 billion, according to LSEG data.

The company that provides essential 'infrastructure to the energy industry' also predicts sales and margins to be close to their current levels in the first quarter of 2026.

Results come at a time when the global steel industry is navigating a volatile trading environment. The Financial Times reported that Donald Trump intends to reduce some tariffs on steel and aluminum products.

Tenaris expects the drilling activity to remain at current levels in 'the U.S. and Canada, following a slight decline in the second half of 2025. Activity elsewhere is expected to remain unchanged in the short term.

In the fourth quarter, earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortization fell by 1%, to $717 millions.

The?company proposed an annual total dividend of $0.89 for each share. (Reporting and editing by Enrico Sciacovelli, Carlos Mendez and Maju Sam)
