Golden Pass LNG is offline following a near-halt in gas intake according to LSEG data
Golden Pass LNG is a joint venture 'between QatarEnergy & ExxonMobil. It has taken little or no natural gas... over the.past.three.days. And it appears to be offline.
Since March 30, the Texas-based export facility is commissioning its first of three LNG trains, with multiple start-and stop periods to test and fine-tune equipment.
Golden Pass will be able to process up to 2.6 billion cubic feet of natural gas each day and export more than 18 millions metric tons of liquefied gas annually.
According to LSEG, on Monday the facility requested about 20 million cubic ft of natural gas. Its first train has a daily capacity of approximately 800 million cubic ft.
In a filing with the Texas Commission on?Environmental Quality, Golden Pass said it?is continuing commissioning and startup activities at its Sabine Pass facility?and that the cause?of flaring?remains under investigation. Golden Pass filed a report with the Texas Commission for Environmental Quality stating that it is continuing its commissioning and startup at the Sabine Pass facility.
Golden Pass has not responded to our request for comment immediately.
