Equinor stated that the stop work order was a threat to ongoing activities. Without a quick resolution, there could be "significant?impacts" on the project.
Empire Wind and the South Brooklyn Marine Terminal, where it is constructed, had a total book value of $3.1 billion on September 30, 2025.
According to the company, the total amount borrowed under the project financing term loan was around $2.8 billion by November 30, 2025.
