ConocoPhillips named Andy O'Brien, finance chief, as its new CEO on Thursday. He succeeds?Ryan Lance who will move to the 'executive chairman' role on September 1 after a decade of leading U.S. Oil Producer.
O'Brien assumes the leadership of a company with one of the most impressive balance sheets of all?independent exploration companies and production companies.

CONOCO VETERAN LONG-TERM
O'Brien has been with Conoco since 1997, and spent almost three decades in the company. He held finance, planning, and strategy roles within multiple international operations, before rising to the executive ranks.
Current CFO and Strategy Chief
He is currently CFO and executive Vice President, Strategy and Commercial, and oversees finance, corporate planning and business development.
EXECUTIVE LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE
O'Brien has led several key business and /functions since joining ConocoPhillips executive leadership team 2022. These include the 'company's Alaskan and international operations', commercial and LNG businesses', corporate strategy and investor relations, finance and mergers and acquisitions.
From September, CONOCOPHILLIPS WILL BE LEADED BY WOMEN
