After his dealings with convicted sex offenders Jeffrey Epstein became public, Dr. Peter Attia, a longevity expert, resigned as Chief Science Officer at protein bar maker David Protein.
Attia’s name appears over 1,700 times within the 3 million emails that were released by the U.S. Department of Justice as part of their Epstein files on Friday.

After the controversy, Attia’s name and picture were removed from David Protein's website and “experts” page.
David?Protein & Attia didn't immediately respond to requests for comments.
The Wrap reported on Monday that CBS News - owned by Paramount - is expected to cut its ties with Attia, who was a named contributor as part of Bari Weiss’ strategy to restructure the operations.
According to The Wrap, Weiss doesn't want to break ties with Attia. This has led to a fight between CBS News chief Weiss and Paramount corporate.
Attia denied he had been involved in criminal activities on X Monday. He apologized for the "crude and tasteless banter" in his emails.
Sara Gottfried posted on LinkedIn that Attia had been discredited as an expert in medicine.
"The longevity industry is built on trust and prevention. She wrote that the industry "must now face the fact" that one of its leading voices has failed to meet the most basic standards of medical ethics.
Attia invested in David Protein in August 2024 and took part in the $10 million seed round.
