Traders estimate that the July raw sugar shipment at ICE is 796 500 metric tons.
According to two sugar traders, the initial information on the 'expiry of the 'July -contract at the ICE exchange was that the raw sugar deliveries were 15,678 tons or 796,500 metric tonnes.
COFCO, a Chinese commodities trader, was said to have been?the only supplier of this sugar. French soft commodities trader Sucden, with 7,209 tons, was the largest recipient. The traders reported that Louis Dreyfus, Bunge, and Wilmar were also recipients.
ICE will publish official data about the delivery on Tuesday. The July delivery wasn't huge or small. According to ICE data, the 'biggest' delivery in that contract month occurred in 2019, with 41,488,. July's?delivery was 888 contracts last year. The?market is usually impacted by large deliveries, so traders were unable to find better deals on the physical market. COFCO, besides trading, is also a major sugar producer, with nearly 200,000 hectares of sugarcane and four mills located in Brazil.
