Sources say that China's RoboTechnik will list $800 million in Hong Kong on September 21.
Two people who are familiar with the situation said that Chinese automation equipment manufacturer RoboTechnik Intelligent Technology is planning to list in Hong Kong on September 21 to raise $800 million.
RoboTechnik is a company based in Shenzhen that manufactures and tests equipment for the assembly and testing of silicon photonics devices for optical interconnects in data centres, artificial intelligence infrastructure, and photovoltaic cells.
Sources said that the plan is to launch the deal and price it on?September 29.
Sources said that the size and timing of the offering may still be affected by market conditions. They declined to name them because it is a private matter.
RoboTechnik didn't immediately respond to an?request for comment.
According to the draft prospectus, the company wants to list a second time in Hong Kong in order to help it expand overseas and to strengthen its position as a manufacturer of photovoltaic cells and in silicon photonics.
According to the prospectus, Suzhou based company intends to use listing proceeds to research and develop, factory capacity, global sale and service operations, and possible acquisitions, as well as working capital.
According to its Shenzhen Stock Exchange filing, RoboTechnik posted a net gain of 6.6 million Yuan ($985,515.90), compared with a loss of 33.3?million Yuan?a year ago. Revenue increased by 144.8%, to 608.5 millions yuan.
The market capitalisation for the Shenzhen-based company has risen 166% in one year, giving it $15.5 billion.
According to a filing by?RoboTechnik, Huatai International and Orient Securities (DFZQ) are?the joint sponsor.
Huatai, DFZQ and DFZQ didn't immediately respond to a comment request. Citi declined to make a comment.
