Sempra announces Cameron LNG train to be offline for planned maintenance

The company announced on Wednesday that one of the liquefaction train?at Cameron LNG is currently 'offline' for planned maintenance.

The Louisiana facility's natural gas deliveries fell about 700 million cubic foot per day from Monday levels on Wednesday, which indicates that one of the three LNG trains at the plant was not operating to full capacity.

"Cameron LNG performs scheduled maintenance on one of its trains." Sempra said that although LNG production and flow will fluctuate, there won't be any interruptions to the service to our customers.

According to LSEG data, the feedgas consumption of the plant was about 1.3 billion cubic foot per day on Wednesday. This is down from the 2 bcfd that the facility usually consumes when the three trains are running.

Cameron LNG, located in Hackberry, Louisiana is a three train export facility that has a capacity of 13.5 million tons per year. Sempra Infrastructure possesses a 50.2% stake in the project. Affiliates of TotalEnergies Mitsui & Co, and Japan LNG Investment hold the remaining interests.

Cameron LNG is one of the largest LNG export facilities on the US Gulf Coast. Outages or maintenance at major LNG export terminals may temporarily reduce domestic gas demand.
