QatarEnergy suspends gas deliveries until November 1st to Italy's Edison

QatarEnergy has notified Italian utility Edison - one of its biggest customers in Europe - that it 'has extended the suspension period for liquefied gas deliveries (LNG) until early November.

QatarEnergy stopped supplying LNG from Edison in April due to disruptions caused by the U.S.-Iran Conflict.

Edison, the Italian platform for gas markets, announced that it would not be able to deliver five more LNG cargoes between the end of September and early November.

Edison confirmed the suspension of the service on Friday.

Edison, an energy?group in France called?EDF?, has a long-term agreement with QatarEnergy to supply?6.4 billion cubic metres of natural 'gas? per year to Italy. This is around 10% of Italy's total?consumption.
