Last month, Japan's spot LNG contract was priced at $19.10/mmBtu.

According to the Japan Oil, Gas and Metals National Corporation, (STATE OWNED JOGMEC), the average contract 'price' for spot liquefied -natural gas (LNG), cargoes for a shipment to Japan last month was $19.10 mmBtu. Last month, the average contract price for spot LNG cargoes was $17.90 a mmBtu. Japan Oil, 'Gas and Metals - National Corporation (STATE OWNED JOGMEC), surveys spot LNG cargoes purchased by Japanese utilities and importers. However, it excludes cargo-by cargo deals that are linked to benchmarks, such as the U.S. Natural Gas Henry Hub Index.

It only publishes prices if there are at least two cargoes that have been reported by buyers.
