Governor of Vologda, Russia says that a drone attack by Ukraine damaged a fertiliser plant in the region.
The local governor, Georgy Filimonov, said that a fertiliser plant located in the 'Vologda' region of Russia was damaged by a Ukrainian drone on Sunday.
Filimonov stated that a high pressure sulphuric pipeline had been damaged at the Apatit Complex, a subsidiary company of PhosAgro. PhosAgro is one of?the largest producers of fertilisers based on phosphates in the world.
He said that the leak was 'contained' and that there were no hazardous chemicals released.
Apatit, according to PhosAgro is Europe's largest producer of phosphate based fertilisers as well as phosphoric and sulfuric acids.
MAJOR ATTACK
The Russian defence ministry reported that between 2000 Moscow time on Saturday (1700 GMT) and 0900 Sunday morning, Russian air defences destroyed more than 250 Ukrainian drones in?more than 12 regions.
Sevastopol Governor Mikhail Razvozhayev stated that the city was the target of 'one of the most intense attacks to date.?71?drones were destroyed.
Residential buildings, shops, and cars were damaged. Several drone parts landed on rail tracks.
Governor Mikhail Yevrayev, without giving details, said that Russian air defences had thwarted another massive drone attack in the Yaroslavl area, where Ukraine has often targeted oil refineries.
