Woodside Energy's revenue for the first quarter of 2013 jumps by 13% thanks to Senegal project.

Woodside Energy, Australia's largest gas producer, posted a 13% increase in its first-quarter revenues on Wednesday. The growth was boosted by the start-up of Senegal's Sangomar Project in July 2024 as well as strong gas hub-linked prices. The gas-hub-linked prices from which Woodside benefitted are determined by trading in specific natural-gas hubs.

JERA and Saibu Gas work together to use the expanded Japanese LNG terminal

They announced on Tuesday that JERA, Japan’s largest buyer of liquefied gas, will work with Saibu Gas Holdings to use the Hibiki LNG Terminal. This collaboration is intended to improve domestic fuel supply and expand their global business. Saibu Gas is a Japanese city gas supplier based on the southern island of Kyushu. In November last year, they decided to expand the capacity at their terminal.

Hammerfest LNG Plant in Norway will be closed for maintenance from July until August

Equinor announced that its Hammerfest LNG Terminal, Europe's biggest liquefied gas export facility, was shut down on Tuesday for planned annual maintenance. Palmetto prices end higher in Dalian and rising inventories

Malaysian palm oils futures rose on Thursday, wiping out the losses of the previous session. They were supported by strong rival oils in Dalian, and data from Malaysian Palm Oil Board, which showed an increase in March inventories. The benchmark June palmoil contract traded on the Bursa Derivatives Exchange in Malaysia gained 53 ringgit or 1.28% to 4,201 Ringgit ($940.66) per metric ton.

Dutch and British wholesale prices of gas rose on Tuesday morning due to lower Norwegian exports into Europe and increased demand. The benchmark front-month contracts at the Dutch TTF Hub were up 0.64 euros at 41.68 Euro per Megawatt Hour (MWh) at 0932 GMT, LSEG Data showed. Vitol signs 10-year LNG contract for delivery to Philippines

Vitol, a global energy trading company, announced that it had signed a long term deal with a Philippine-based entity to supply LNG to the country starting in 2025. It is the first long-term LNG supply agreement signed in the Philippines. The country only started importing super-chilled fuels in 2023. In a 10-year deal with LNGPH, Vitol has agreed to supply LNG up to 0.8 millions tons annually.

Equinor Norway LNG plant will be off-line March 10-14

According to a Friday regulatory filing, Equinor will shut down its Hammerfest LNG Terminal from March 10 through March 14 to perform "corrective maintenance". This will reduce the daily production capacity from 18.4 millions cubic metres to zero. The Hammerfest plant (also known as Melkoeya LNG) has the ability to deliver approximately 6.5 billion cubic meters of gas each year.
