Philippines: Shell's Hydrogen Project Resumes as Covid-19 Restrictions Eased
Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp said on Wednesday it has resumed construction of an integrated hydrogen manufacturing facility at its Tabangao refinery in the Philippines, after being hampered by the coronavirus lockdown.Restrictions on movement have been eased in Philippine provinces and cities with low coronavirus cases to help restore business activity in the Southeast Asian economy.The local unit of Shell had planned to complete the project this year in partnership with Air Liquide Philippines Inc."We intend to complete the project promptly," a company spokesperson told Reuters.

Shell: Nigeria's Bonny Light Still Under Force Majeure
Royal Dutch Shell said on Wednesday a declaration of force majeure remained in place on shipments of Nigerian Bonny Light crude oil, while exports at the Forcados shipping hub were running as normal. Shell's Nigerian subsidiary, Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Ltd (SPDC), said on May 17 it had declared force majeure on exports of Bonny light following a shutdown on the Nembe Creek Trunk Line stream. Exports of Bonny Light are expected to run at around 195,000 barrels per day next month, making it Nigeria's third largest crude oil stream, behind Forcados and Qua Iboe.

UK Court: Nigerians Cannot Pursue Shell Claim in England
The Court of Appeal in London ruled on Wednesday that two Nigerian communities cannot pursue Royal Dutch Shell in English courts over oil spills in Nigeria's Delta region. The split decision upheld a High Court ruling last year that was a setback to attempts to hold British multinationals liable at home for their subsidiaries' actions abroad. The court rejected the appeal from law firm Leigh Day on behalf of Nigeria's Bille and Ogale communities, and upheld a ruling that English courts do not have jurisdiction over claims against Shell's Nigerian subsidiary Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC).
Nigeria's State Oil Company Signs Deals with Chevron, Shell
Nigeria's state oil company said on Thursday it had signed agreements with Chevron and Shell to boost crude production and reserves. The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) said a joint venture agreement with Chevron Nigeria Limited would see the development of proven and probable reserves of 211 million barrels. It said a joint venture with Shell Petroleum Development Company would lead to the development of a project comprising of 156 development activities across 12 oil mining licences in the Niger Delta production hub. Shell Shuts Bonny Light Pipeline to Stop Thefts
The Nigerian subsidiary of Royal Dutch Shell Plc said it had shut down the Nembe Creek Trunk Line, which exports Bonny Light crude oil, in order to remove theft points. The line, operated by Aiteo, is one of two along with the Trans Niger Pipeline that carries Bonny Light crude oil to the export terminal. Exports of roughly 232,000 barrels per day (bpd) were planned in April, according to loading programmes, but it was not immediately clear how much of this would be impacted by the pipeline shutdown.
