Croatia Publishes Tender for Oil and Gas Exploration

Croatia published a tender for gas and oil exploration in mountainous areas of the country's central and southern regions, the state hydrocarbon agency said on Monday."The deadline for submitting bids is Sept.10, 2019 at 1200(1000 GMT). A tentative deadline for awarding licences is December," the agency said.The exploration in the Dinarides region will take place in four blocks with an overall area of 12,134 square km.

Turkish Navy Monitoring Drilling Vessel near Cyprus

Turkey has sent two ships and a submarine to monitor a drilling vessel in the eastern Mediterranean Sea, the military said on Thursday, in a move likely to increase tension with Cyprus after reunification talks failed last week. Israel's Delek Drilling, Avner Oil to merge

Israeli conglomerate Delek Group's gas and oil exploration units, Delek Drilling and Avner Oil Exploration, approved a merger aimed at reducing costs and attracting new investors. Delek Drilling said on Sunday that shareholders of both companies approved the merger, which will see all assets and liabilities of Avner transferred to Delek Drilling and Avner will be dissolved. South Africa will give the green light in the next 12 months to companies looking to explore for shale gas under the semi-arid Karoo basin, the government said on Tuesday, more than six years after firms such as Shell applied for licences.
