Nord Stream to Shut Gas Pipeline for Two-Week Maintenance
Nord Stream said on Tuesday it would shut both lines of its pipeline transporting Russian gas to Europe through the Baltic Sea for two weeks of planned maintenance starting July 17.
The 1,224 kilometre (760 mile) pipeline, running to Germany via the sea, has a capacity of 55 billion cubic metres. Nord Stream is a joint venture of Russia's Gazprom and Germany's Wintershall and PEG Infrastruktur.
